PHILADELPHIA, PA — The agency which represents the Sixers' Ben Simmons wants to see him named to the NBA All Star team in 2022, despite the fact that Simmons has not stepped onto the court for a single game yet this season.

Klutch Sports, which posted several messages on Twitter promoting its athletes, shared the post about Simmons on Christmas Day.

Besides the fact that Simmons, 25, is a polarizing figure amongst the Philadelphia fan base that would likely account for the bulk of his votes, there's also the added element of Simmons' mental health. Several individuals replied to the post saying that the last thing that Simmons, who has reportedly been working with mental health professionals in his time off the court, needs is the added pressure and attention of an All Star game bid in a season he hasn't participated in yet.

The Sixers continue to search for a trade partner for Simmons, but despite on-again, off-again rumors, nothing seems to have come close to fruition yet. The Sixers president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, previously stated that they were prepared for the Simmons saga in Philadelphia to drag on for "years" if they were not able to find an appropriate match in a trade.
