Armed Carjacking Attempt Captured By Dashboard Camera: Philly Police
Philadelphia Police are looking for four people who tried to carjack a man at gunpoint early on Jan. 27 near the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are asking for help finding four people they said were involved in a robbery and carjacking attempt last month that was captured on the victim's dashboard camera.
The incident occurred at about 1:05 a.m. Jan. 27 on the 500 block of North 17th Street.
The victim was driving in that area at that time when he was cut off by another car.

The car stopped at the end of the block and four people got out, with at least one being armed with a gun.
Police said they ran toward the victim, pointing the gun at him.

The victim reversed, then drove forward and was able to get away from the suspects.
Video of the incident was captured by complainant’s dash cam, and it shows the suspects using a stolen car to cut the complainant off and block him in.
The suspects were tracked on surveillance video before the incident on the SEPTA Market Street Line.
