Barricade Situation Ends With 1 In Custody, Gun Found: Philly Police

Philadelphia Police said the barricade situation played out Tuesday morning when the U.S. Marshals Service was serving an arrest warrant.

PHILADELPHIA — A man was taken into custody after a brief barricade situation Tuesday morning involving Philadelphia Police and the U.S. Marshals Service.

The situation unfolded at about 8:35 a.m. when U.S. Marshals went to arrest a man on the 8000 block of Rowland Avenue.

Police said when the Marshals arrived at the location, they learned the man was in a property and armed with a handgun.

A barricade situation was declared at 8:36 a.m.

However, the man was taken into custody at 9:12 a.m.
