Bomb Squad Called After Teens Try To Light Explosives In Philly Store
Three teens tried to light explosives in an East Germantown grocery store early Tuesday evening, prompting the bomb squad to respond.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police bomb squad members recovered explosives in a grocery store after three teens tried to ignite them.
According to police, officers were called to the Fresh Grocer on the 5300 block of Chew Avenue in East Germantown at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities said three males, ages 16 to 19, tried to light explosives in the store.

Fox 29 reports the teens left the store after they were unable to light the explosives.
Store security guards found the explosives, later identified as M-80 devices, and the bomb squad cleared the store.

Police said 18 explosives were recovered in the store.
The suspects were described as black and wearing all black clothing.
No one was hurt in the incident, police said.
