Boston Creamed: Eagles-Loving Donut Shop Bans Boston Cream

The West Philly donut shop said it will begin selling Boston cream donuts again after the Eagles win the Super Bowl over the Patriots.

PHILADELPHIA – If you're hankering for a cream-filled donut in West Philadelphia, your options may be limited. You can thank passionate Philadelphia Eagles fans for that.

Dottie's Donuts on Springfield Ave. in West Philly has announced it is no longer selling Boston cream donuts "until the Eagles win the Super Bowl."

Dottie's said on Facebook no other "New England-themed" donuts will be offered until the Birds win Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots.

The donut shop instead is offering two new donuts: the "eagles fan on greased pole" donut – in honor of the attempt to keep rowdy fans from climbing light poles following Sunday's massive win over the Vikings (which failed) – and the "creamed Boston" donut.

The new "eagles fan on greased pole" donut features chocolate dough with vanilla and matcha glaze.

"Creamed Boston" is features a vanilla glaze, chopped pistachios and matcha cream filling.
