Bud Light Still Offering Free Beer Deal For Eagles Super Bowl Win

Eagles tackle Lane Johnson said In August if the Birds win the Super Bowl that he'd give out free beer and Bud Light chimed in on the deal.

PHILADELPHIA – Bud Light never forgets, apparently. The beer company said it has not forgotten its offer to provide beer to Philadelphia Eagles fans should the Birds emerge the victors in Super Bowl LII, where they will face off against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Back in August, Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson said should the team win the Super Bowl he's planning to give beer to "everybody," and Bud Light chimed in.

"Let's make a bet. Win it all and the party is on us. Deal?" Bud Light tweeted at Johnson this past August following Johnson's generous offer.

While Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev said the it is looking "forward to delivering on our promise and sharing a few beers with our friends in Philly" in the event of a Birds victory, details are being kept hush out of superstition.

"Congrats to the Eagles on earning a trip to Super Bowl LII," Anheuser-Busch said in a statement. "We are still planning an epic celebration, but true friends of the crown never assume victory, so in the interest of not jinxing the team, we will keep our plans under wraps until the outcome of the Super Bowl is determined."

The most recent ad campaign by Bud Light features a medieval king and his people lauding Bud Light and using the phrase "dilly, dilly."

Bud Light congratulated the Eagles on their trouncing win over the Vikings Sunday and sent a video "message from [our] king before the next great battle."

In the congratulatory video from Bud Light, the king opts for "Philly, Philly" instead of "dilly, dilly."
