Beginning this May and continuing through October, Third Thursdays, hosted by PIDC and Ensemble, will transform Chapel Plaza at the Philadelphia Navy Yard into a lively, family and dog-friendly outdoor gathering space on the third Thursday of each month from 4 to 7 p.m.
Designed as a casual, family-friendly community event, Third Thursdays will feature rotating food trucks, local merchant vendors, live music, lawn games, and outdoor seating, inviting guests to experience the Navy Yard’s scenic waterfront atmosphere and growing neighborhood energy. Each event offers an al fresco-style experience with something for everyone, creating a fun and approachable way for employees, residents, and visitors alike to explore the Navy Yard, support local businesses, and enjoy a scenic setting that feels like an escape from the pace of a long city workday.
