Pier 1 Park is the Navy Yard’s newest <a href="https://navyyard.org/visit/parks/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">public park,</a> and we are taking our <a href="https://navyyard.org/visit/food-drink/lunch-truck-lineup/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Lunch Truck Lineup</a> there! We’ll have an afternoon of food trucks (EL TLALOC and Jerk King Caribbean Feast), ice cream, and free swag!
This park offers a place for everyone, employees, residents, and visitors, to gather, relax, and connect with the Delaware River. This project transformed a former industrial waterfront site into a vibrant public space for recreation, community events, and everyday enjoyment. There are tables and chairs there to enjoy your lunch while you take in views of the water.
Whether you want to relax by the river with a good book, swap titles with coworkers and neighbors, or simply enjoy lunch in a scenic setting, this is the perfect mid-day break. Stop by our new Little Free Library and bring a few gently used books to help us stock the shelves. Then grab lunch from two of your favorite food trucks and take in the waterfront views.

The book is a collection of original essays that explore themes of home, resilience and connection, emphasizing the importance of community as America celebrates its 250th birthday. Fountain&nbsp;View invites the public to attend a book signing and release party for 'Home, anew' on Thursday, July 2 at 2 p.m. to meet the voices from this community that were selected to contribute their stories to the book. Some residents will also read their personal stories aloud.
'Home, anew' is now available for purchase on Amazon and all proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association.
