Closures Impacting I-76 Traffic Overnight Next Week In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — PennDOT said closures will affect Interstate 76 in Philadelphia next week due to paving work.
I-76 east and west will have a lane closure in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning, Monday through Thursday next week.
The closure will be in effect in sections of the highway between the U.S. 1 and 30th Street Station interchanges for bridge deck repair, sealing, line painting and rumble strip installation.

Also, Monday through Thursday next week, I-76 west will be closed and detoured just west of the first exit (split) to U.S. 1 South (City Avenue/Exit 339) for bridge repair.
This closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use the first exit to U.S. 1 South (City Avenue/Exit 339) to continue westbound on I-76.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
