Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. Pennsylvania's Commonwealth Court on Friday said none of the articles of impeachment filed against Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner by the Republican-led legislature meet the required legal standard of "misbehavior in office" — handing Krasner an apparent victory in the legislative effort to remove him. In an order filed Friday afternoon, Commonwealth Court Judge Ellen Ceisler said the seven articles filed against Krasner, which were approved by the House last month, did not sufficiently show that he'd failed to perform his duties with an improper or corrupt motive, which is required under the state constitution to impeach a public official. 2. Remember, what goes up, must come down, especially if you're firing guns into the air to celebrate the new year. Authorities in Philadelphia urged New Year's Eve revelers not to partake in celebratory gunfire when the clock strikes midnight. The warning comes months after investigators concluded that celebratory gunfire struck two officers patrolling an Independence Day fireworks display on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
  3. Is it the crime wave in Philly, shop-lifting, lack of customers or not enough profits? The Marshalls Department Store, at 1044 Market St. is closing, leaving another empty storefront along an increasingly vacant stretch in the heart of Market East, most recently called, "The Fashion District." The discounted department store will shutter on January 14, according to a spokesperson for TJX, the chain's parent company. The nearby T.J. Maxx at 1130 Market St., also a part of TJX brands, will stay open. (nbcphiladelphia.com)

(But if you're lucky enough to be in Key West, FL tonight, a drag queen named Sushi drops down in a big ole' high heeled stiletto! )(Billy Penn)
  • Trying to give up on the alcohol for 2023? It doesn't have to be you nursing a ginger-ale with a lemon slice. These Philly bars and restaurants serve alcohol-free mocktails all month- (PhillyVoice.com)
