Dad Shot Dead While Holding Child On Philly Stoop: Reports

A 24-year-old father died after being shot numerous times as he held his 1-year-old child early Wednesday evening in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — A man sitting with his son was fatally shot Wednesday night in Philadelphia.

The shooting happened at about 6:30 p.m. on the 3200 block of D Street, Action News reports.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, was sitting on his porch, holding his 1-year-old son, when two men on scooters shot him, firing more than a dozen rounds, NBC10 reports.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he died from gunshots to his head, chest, and torso, according to Fox 29.

The child suffered graze wounds to his legs and head, reports state.
