Decomposed Child's Remains Found In Duffel Bag: Philadelphia Police

Philadelphia Police said the body of a child was found "severely decomposed" inside a duffel bag in West Philadelphia Monday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — The body of a young child was found inside a duffel bag Monday morning in West Philadelphia, according to police and reports.

The discovery was made at about 9:50 a.m. on the 600 block of North 38th Street in West Philadelphia, Philadelphia Police said.

Officers called to the area met with a man who was doing work in the back of a property on that block.

The man showed police the bag, which police said contained the "severely decomposed" remains of a child.
