Food Fight Erupts At Citizens Bank Park

Several fans were ejected when the Phillies Dollar Dog Night led to a food fight in the stands Tuesday night.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia sports fans now have a new infamous incident in which things were thrown in one of their team's stadiums, as the Phillies Dollar Dog Night turned into a massive food fight Tuesday.

The Phillies were taking on the Miami Marlins at home Tuesday, and offered the $1 hot dog promotion.

But in section 112 of Citizens Bank Park, the beloved Dollar Dog Night devolved into a food fight, with fans chucking hot dogs and later water bottles throughout the section, according to Action News.

One fan was heard on video shouting "food fight" as hot dogs were soaring through the air, Sports Illustrated reports.

The food fight led to several ejections from the game, according to the team.

"Unfortunately, the small minority of people involved in this situation put our regular fan base in a negative light," the team said in a statement.

This new viral incident could be the new throwing snowballs at Santa Claus moment that made Eagles fans so infamous.

The Phillies lost 8-4.
