Driver Crashes Into Philly 7-Eleven After Hitting Truck, Pedestrian

Philadelphia Police said the driver suffered a medical emergency early Thursday, then hit a truck and man before crashing into the store.

PHILADELPHIA — A car crashed into a Northeast Philadelphia 7-Eleven store early Thursday morning after striking a tractor trailer and a pedestrian, police said.

The incident occurred at about 12:45 a.m. on the 6800 block of Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philly.

Police said a man driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee was heading west on Harbison Avenue when he suffered a medical emergency.

The driver lost consciousness and drove into the 7-Eleven Parking lot, where he struck a tractor trailer making a delivery to the store.

Police said the Jeep kept going and hit a 34-year-old man who was standing outside the store.

The vehicle then crashed into the front of the store and came to a rest inside it, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, police said.

The driver refused medical treatment and was not cooperating with investigators, according to NBC10.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
