Driver Sought In Deadly August Hit-And-Run: Philly Police

Philadelphia Police said the person seen here fatally struck a woman in the early hours of Aug. 5 on the 200 block of West Hunting Park Ave.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are asking for help identifying and locating the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run back in early August.

The fatal crash happened at about 12:11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5 on the 2000 block of West Hunting Park Avenue.

Police said the striking vehicle was heading east when it struck a woman who was in the road.

The vehicle drove off, and the woman was found unconscious in the road.

She was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
