DUI Driver Who Hit 27 Cars In Philadelphia Identified: Police
He faces 17 charges of causing damage to unattended vehicles after crashing into numerous cars in Philly's Lawndale section.
PHILADELPHIA – The person accused of crashing into numerous parked cars while driving drunk in Philadelphia has been identified by Philadelphia Police Monday.
Police said 38-year-old Bispo Alvair, of Philadelphia, has been charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and 17 counts of causing damage to unattended vehicles in connection with the numerous reported crashes from early Sunday, Aug. 27, according to court records
Alvair was charged after police were flagged down on the 7000 block of Large Street at about 3:56 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, police said.

Police said they were notified to an accident involved gray Nissan that had become disabled after striking multiple vehicles in the area. Patch reported Alvair crashed into 10 cars along Devereau Avenue around 3 a.m. and then hit 17 more vehicles on at least four other streets in Philadelphia's Lawndale section.
Alvair was held after failing to post 10 percent of $50,000 bail at his arraignment Monday morning, court records show.

Alvair will appear for his preliminary hearing on Sept. 27, according to court documents.
