Eagles Make Big Announcement On Coach's Status
The Birds are looking to run back their championship organization for years to come.

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Philadelphia Eagles have announced a multi-year contract extension with Super Bowl winning coach Nick Sirianni, one of a handful of moves made this offseason that will keep the core of the defending champs organization intact for the foreseeable future.
The exact amount of money and number of years in the contract were not disclosed by the Eagles in their announcement.
"As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success," Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement. "Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership. Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago."

The 43-year-old Sirianni's tenure in Philly has indeed been historic. Since he was hired in 2021, the Birds have gone 48-20 in the regular season, which is the second most wins for any head coach in their first four years at the helm, according to NFL.com.

Still, after the Birds started the 2024 season 2-2 and with the 2023 late season collapse fresh in everyone's mind, the Philly phaithful and even some analysts were calling for Sirianni to be fired.

After missing the playoffs in 2020, the Birds have made the postseason each year under Sirianni, including two Super Bowl appearances and, of course, the 2025 championship.
"His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team," Lurie added. "I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles."
In addition to locking up Sirianni, the Eagles have also signed superstar running back Saquon Barkley to an extension this offseason, as they seek to form a dynasty of their own after dethroning the two-time reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs.
