1. The Philadelphia Eagles are going to the Super Bowl! In a lopsided 31-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers at the Linc, these NFC Champions will be the fourth Eagles team in Philadelphia's history to head to the big dance in Phoenix, Arizona. (espn.com)
2. Even at his funeral, Jerry Blavat brought the crowds - and the music. Thousands of friends, family, fans and simply dancers showed up to say good-bye to the Boss with the Hot Sauce, Philly legendary DJ Jerry Blavat. As disco and doo-wop played on speakers throughout the church of Basilica of Ss Peter and Paul, thousands honored and memorialized their favorite DJ and master of ceremonies for the past 60 years.
