(Philadelphia, PA) --- A recent report from the CDC that was published by the The Washington Post recently just heightened the resolve for Enviro-Master Services to continue their aggressive expansion program into their major target markets, one of which is Philadelphia, PA.

Why the alarm? According to the Post article that cites a startling new CDC report, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur in the U.S. each year, and more than 35,000 people die as a result. The new estimates show that, on average, someone in the United States gets an anti-biotic resistant infection every 11 seconds, and every 15 minutes, someone dies.

“We are not trying to cause alarm,” said Brian Wieters, EVP of Franchise Development for the quickly growing Enviro-Master Services, “but it’s riskier than ever to venture into the confines of a public restroom or one in your workplace that’s shared by many.”

It’s not a pretty picture, but the reality is that plenty of bugs—both the familiar like E. coli and influenza—and the less-well-known varieties—commonly make their homes in public restrooms and surprisingly even more so in large, shared eating areas. The germs lurking on toilet seats and door handles, faucets, sinks and anything else we touch in bathrooms or workplace lunchrooms are the focus of the Enviro-Master business model. It is North America’s leading health and safety-focused commercial cleaning service.

The commercial cleaning industry is estimated at $61 billion, and is expected to grow by an additional two percent alone in 2019, according to experts. Backed by decades of industry experience and a standardized health and safety program, Enviro-Master’s niche (which focuses on killing germs and bacteria) and network of nearly 80 franchised locations in the U.S. and Canada protects businesses, their employees and clients against the spread of infectious disease.

Enviro-Master has been ranked during the past five consecutive years on Inc. 5000’s list of America’s Fastest-Growing Private companies in addition to being recognized in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchie500® as No. 1 in the restroom maintenance industry. According to Brian Wieters, EVP of Franchise Development, “the reason for our continued growth is due to five basic fundamentals: 1) Large, Identifiable Market; 2) Lack of Competition; 3) Recession Resistant; 4) Recurring Revenue; and 5) Cannot be displaced by technology.”

One of the most common communicable diseases listed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, - influenza - poses serious health risks. Bacteria, viruses and fungi are responsible for carrying most of those infectious diseases, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. Enviro-Master’s commercial hygiene service targets them all with Sani-Shield, a unique system that attacks the billions of pathogens living on restroom fixtures, ensuring restrooms are protected against all common diseases and viruses.

Enviro-Master currently provides weekly service to more than 250 brands that represent more than 30,000 retail and restaurant locations in North America and the need is still growing.

“We’re straining against demands for our services as more publicity and attention is given to contagion and germs in the workplace”, said Wieters. “Our customers are seeing this as not only a health and safety issue but as a productivity issue,” No one wants to see an entire office or department come down with the same cold or flu that a co-worker just experienced. We are trying to greatly reduce that problem.”

A sharp focus on widespread commercial cleaning needs, coupled with a scalable, service-based business model with multiple revenue streams and residual income, has led to Enviro-Master more than doubling in size in the last decade.
