Alleem Bordan, 29, who was in custody for vehicle theft, escaped at Temple's Episcopal Hospital, 100 E. Leigh Ave., Monday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — Federal authorities said they were close to apprehending the Philadelphia prisoner who escaped custody Monday, and now are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to his arrest.
Alleem Bordan, 29, escaped custody at about 6:42 a.m. Monday at Temple University's Episcopal Hospital at 100 Lehigh Ave. while still cuffed.

Marshals showed up to that house at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday and a man matching his description, who was later confirmed to be Bordan, ran out of the back of the home.
Authorities said he jumped down a 30-foot embankment onto SEPTA tracks, where he ran north to avoid apprehension.
Despite Marshals and K9 units searching for him, Bordan was not located.
Since then, Bordan has not been spotted.
Authorities said Bordan has a history of fleeing and eluding police, is a narcotics user, may have mental health issues, and may have access to firearms based on his history.
He is possibly armed and considered dangerous.
The Honda was located but is still being investigated, authorities said. The people who were in the Columbia Avenue home are not being charged, according to authorities.
Bordan is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds, and was wearing the blue plaid shirt he's wearing in his mugshot above over top of a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown boots when he escaped, police said. He was wearing all black when he was spotted Tuesday.
Bordan has braided hair and a beard, and his last known address is on the 1300 block of North Allison Street, police said.
