Prisoner Escapes Custody At Philadelphia Hospital: Police

PHILADELPHIA — Authorities in Philadelphia said a prisoner has escaped from a hospital in the city.

Alleem Bordan, 29, escaped from Temple University Hospital, Episcopal campus, 100 E. Lehigh Ave., police said.

According to police, he was discharged from the hospital at about 6:42 a.m. Monday and fled upon discharge.

He was being taken back to the police car while in handcuffs, but ran off, escaping from two officers' custody.

He disappeared on the 2700 block of Hancock Street, police said.

The escape placed lockdowns on a few nearby schools but they have since been lifted, police said.

Bordan's last known address is on the 1300 block of North Allison Street, police said.

Police said he was in custody Sunday for vehicle theft that occurred Thursday when police said he stole a food deliver driver's vehicle.

Bordan is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds, and was wearing the blue plaid shirt he's wearing in his mugshot above over top of a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown boots when he escaped, police said. He has braided hair and a beard.

Earlier this year, 17-year-old Shane Pryor escaped custody at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Pryor is being held on murder and related crimes. He was captured a few days after his escape.
