Victim Of Philadelphia Mills Mall Shooting Identified
The District Attorney's office said the victim was the stepson of a county detective in the DA's Homicide/Non-Fatal Shooting Unit.

PHILADELPHIA — A fight led to the deadly shooting in the Philadelphia Mills Mall food court early Monday evening, according to reports.
The shooting occurred at 5:05 p.m. near the mall's orange entrance. A 21-year-old man was killed in the shooting.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said the victim was Dominic Billa. Billa is the stepson of a county detective assigned to the DA Office's Homicide/Non-Fatal Shooting Unit.

"I extend my deepest condolences to our Detective, and to the loved ones of Mr. Billa," Krasner said. "We are outraged over the violence that claimed the life of this young man. Shopping malls, basketball courts, supermarkets, and all spaces in our communities should be free of the threat of gun violence."
According to NBC10, the shooting stemmed from a fight when at least one person pulled out a gun and started firing.

Fox 29 reports police are looking for one person involved in the deadly shooting. A description was not immediately provided.
The mall was on lockdown following the shooting.
Witnesses said there were approximately 20 gunshots. No one other than the victim was hurt in the shooting, Action News reports.
