Flags Ordered To Half Mast After Temple President's Death

State flags on all state facilities, public buildings, and grounds in Philadelphia will be at half-mast until JoAnne Epps is interred.

PHILADELPHIA — All Commonwealth of Pennsylvania flags will be at half-mast following the death of Temple University's Acting President JoAnne A. Epps.

Gov. Josh Shapiro Wednesday ordered Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds in Philadelphia County to immediately fly at half-staff in honor of Epps.

Epps, 72, died suddenly Tuesday after falling ill at a university event.

Flags will be lowered to half-staff until Epps is laid to rest.
