Gasoline Dumped On City-Owned Vehicles Wednesday: Philadelphia Police

Police said a gas-soaked T-shirt was located in the shared police-fire department garage at 65th and Woodland.

PHILADELPHIA – Several vehicles in a shared Philadelphia Police and Fire department garage were doused in gasoline early Wednesday morning, police said.

Police said between 4:30 a.m. and 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, someone entered the 12 District station garage, at 65th and Woodland, through the back of the building.

The person then tried to open gas tanks of several vehicles and then poured gas on them, police said.

Philadelphia Police Captain Sekou Kinebrew told CBS Philadelphia a gas-soaked T-shirt was located in the garage.

The vehicles were part of the Philadelphia Survey Division, police said.
