A 'Ghost Ship' Is Coming To The Delaware Riverfront In October
A combination of water and light will be used to create a "ghost ship" on the Delaware River just in time for the spookiest time of year.
PHILADELPHIA — A haunting art installation is coming to the Delaware River in time for the spookiest time of year.
Starting Oct. 4, visitors of the Race Street Pier will find a "ghost ship" moored off of the pier from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The "ship" is a new art installation from Biangle Studio, which create a three-dimensional light and water-based installation called "Ghost Ship."

"Ghost Ship" is inspired by the nuanced and complex history of the Delaware River in the 1700s and is modeled after 18th-century ships.
Visitors can take a self-guided audio tour along Race Street Pier into the landscape and social history of the Delaware River as they experience "Ghost Ship."
