Girl Shot Through Bedroom Wall In West Philadelphia: Reports

A 14-year-old girl was shot through her bedroom wall early Wednesday morning in an Overbrook home.

PHILADELPHIA — A teenage girl was hit but a bullet that came through her bedroom wall early Wednesday morning in West Philadelphia.

This happened at about 4 a.m. on Wednesday at a home on the 1600 block of North 61st Street in Overbrook, NBC10 reports.

According to Fox 29, the girl, 14, was watching a movie when a gun went off in another room.

The round passed through the wall and grazed the girl's shoulder, and she was then taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment, Action News reports.

Authorities are investigating the incident, but have not recovered a firearm.
