Goose Island Opening Philly Brewhouse March 2

PHILADELPHIA – Goose Island Beer Company is expanding from it's Chicago roots into one of Philadelphia most popular neighborhoods by opening its own brewhouse in March.
Goose Island Beer Company's Philadelphia Brewhouse will open at 4 p.m. Friday, March 3.
The new brewhouse is located at 1002 Canal St. in the Fishtown neighborhood.

Philadelphians can expect new and exciting beers from the brewhouse by Brewmaster Tim Caron, beers brewed exclusively for beer fans in Philly, and Goose Island’s classic styles like Goose IPA, 312 and Sofie.

"I’ve been a long time fan of Goose Island and couldn’t be more thrilled to join the team bringing Goose Island to Philadelphia," Caron said. "I’m excited to start brewing and bring Philadelphians some great beer."

Caron's brews, Goose Island staples, and even brews not seen outside Chicago will be featured in 28 draft lines and two cask engines at the brewhouse.
Chef Brennan Miller will bring elevated brewpub food to the table, made perfect for expertly-curated beer pairings.

"Philadelphians know food and beer," Miller said. "I’m looking forward to introducing something new with our locally-sourced and sustainable menu, and interesting pairings between our elevated pub menu and locally-brewed Goose Island beers."
Menu items include sweet and salty peanuts, chicken wings, kale salad, dry aged hanger steak, burgers, and much more.
The brewhouse will be 10,500 square feet with 5,200 square feet dedicated to guests.
The new watering hole will be open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
