Here Are The Top Paid Phillies Players In 2026
While the Phillies have one of baseball's biggest payrolls, they also have some of the most "team friendly" deals in the sport.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Phillies will carry the fourth highest payroll in baseball into the 2026 season, reflecting ownership's continued investment into keeping a championship contender on the field into the future.
The Phillies have the fourth highest overall payroll in MLB, per online tracker Sportrac, along with the 5th highest paid player in baseball in starting pitcher Zack Wheeler.
Despite that, they also have several stars on what are widely considered "team-friendly" deals, or salaries significantly below similarly talented players. That includes two-time MVP Bryce Harper, whose average annual value of $26 million is only 38th in baseball. Recently extended ace pitcher Cristopher Sanchez, similarly, is not even in the top 50 at $17.8 million a year, despite finishing 2025 as the second best pitcher in the National League.
