On Oct. 18, Homesense, a furniture and home decor store operating under the umbrella of TJX Companies, will open its first two Philadelphia area locations. The store, which has been described as "HomeGoods on steroids," will now have locations in Langhorne, Bucks County and Exton, Chester County.
In Langhorne, Homesense will be at Lincoln Plaza, 2424 East Lincoln Highway. In Exton, it will be at Fairfield Place Shopping Center, 107 E. Swedesford Road.

So what makes Homesense different than HomeGoods?
Good question. It's one that Cosmopolitan magazine, in a 2017 article, aimed to answer. The conclusion: Homesense is basically HomeGoods on steroids.
Cosmopolitan reports they have a huge furniture section, as well as an area called "the general store," which offers everything from bath tubs to wallpaper, doorknobs, and fabrics. The lighting section is larger, and they have a full section for books, the publication reported.
