Homicide By Vehicle, More Charges Filed In Deadly Head-On I-95 Crash
A Philadelphia man is facing a slew of charges after authorities said he crashed into another vehicle head-on on I-95 over the weekend.
PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia man is facing numerous charges after authorities said he caused a deadly head-on crash on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia last weekend.
David Bonilla, 44, of Philadelphia, is charged with homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, DUI, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person, and more crimes, court documents show.
The charges stem from a crash that occurred at about 2:41 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 95 north at mile marker 19.3.

Pennsylvania State Police Troopers were called to the area for a report of a driver going south on Interstate 95 north, police said.
While troopers were en route, they learned the vehicle going against traffic struck another vehicle head-on.

A 21-year-old woman died as a result of a crash, and police said the driver, later identified as Bonilla, of the striking vehicle was under the influence of alcohol.
Action News reports the victim was Thaduba Turay.
Bonilla was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
He is being held on 10 percent of $750,000 bail and is scheduled for an April 30 preliminary hearing, according to court records.
