House Fire Kills Child, Woman In Philadelphia: Officials
2 others were treated at the hospital, says the Philadelphia Fire Department.
PHILADELPHIA — Two people, including a child, died in a house fire that injured two others Saturday morning in Northeast Philadelphia, officials said.
The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. at a home on the 900 block of Granite Street in the Crescentville neighborhood, spreading to a second home. An 8-year-old girl and a 31-year-old woman were found dead on the second floor of one of the homes, officials told NBC10 Philadelphia.
Two other people were brought to the hospital, according to the Philadelphia Fire Department. The injured victims — a 32-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy — sustained third-degree burns, according to Action News.

None of the victims' identities have been disclosed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
