Hundreds Of Flights Canceled At Philadelphia Airport
More than 400 arriving and departing flights have been canceled Thursday, according to the airport's website.

PHILADELPHIA – Nearly 500 flights arriving and departing from the Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday, Jan. 4 have been canceled as the winter storm plagues the region.
According to the airport's website, 255 departing flights and 215 arriving flights have been cancelled as of noon Thursday, Jan. 4.
Twenty-eight arriving flights have been delayed while 21 departing flights are delayed as of noon as well, according to FlightView.com.

The airport said the Federal Aviation Administration lifted its ground stop on flights heading to Philadelphia at about 10:30 a.m.
Crews began deicing planes at about 5:30 a.m.

Airport officials urge fliers to check with their airlines on flight statuses.
"Be sure to check flight status with your carrier before coming to the airport," official said. "Some airlines are waiving fees to change itineraries for travel to/from certain cities. Check with your airline for details if you're scheduled to fly over the next few days."
