I-95 Reopens After Truck Crash, Spill In Philadelphia

A tractor trailer crashed and spilled an unknown substance on the road Monday morning, closing I-95 south for about three hours.

PHILADELPHIA — Interstate 95 south is open again after a tractor trailer crashed Monday morning, according to PennDOT.

The crash occurred between Academy Road and Cottman Avenue at about 10 a.m.

All southbound lanes of I-95 in that area were closed for about three hours following the crash as crews worked to clear the wreck and clean an unknown material spilled in the crash, PennDOT said.
