'Jeopardy!' Champion From Philadelphia To Compete In New Tournament

Celeste DiNucci, who won five games in 2006 and won the Tournament of Champions, will compete in the first 2024 "Jeopardy!" Invitational.

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia woman who previously was a "Jeopardy!" champion and the victor of the 2007 Tournament of Champions will compete in a new tournament of the longtime game show.

Celeste DiNucci, of Philadelphia, is one of the former competitors tapped to compete in the inaugural "Jeopardy" Invitational Tournament.

She will be one of 27 players competing for the $100,000 prize and championship title.

During her five game run in 2006, DiNucci won $83,601.

She later won the 2007 Tournament of Champions and then competed in the 2014 Battle of the Decades event.

Other players in the invitational include Amy Schneider, Alex Jacob, Sam Kavanaugh, Arthur Chu, Brandon Blackwell, Colby Burnett, Lily Chin, Leonard Cooper, Chuck Forrest, Dhruv Gaur, Victoria Groce, Ben Ingram, Matt Jackson, Mackenzie Jones, Larissa Kelly, Alan Lin, David Madden, Pam Mueller, Terry O'Shea, Dan Pawson, Jennifer Quail, Monica Thieu, and Jason Zuffranieri.

This new tournament will being sometime between now and March 20, depending on when the current Tournament of Champions concludes.
