Kendrick Lamar Added To Made In America Music Festival

The Grammy-winning rapper was just added to the festival. He'll join Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Post Malone, and more as festival headliners.

PHILADELPHIA – Grammy-award winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is coming to Philly in September, as he was recently added as a headlining act for the upcoming Made In America music festival on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Lamar was added to the bill just recently, bolstering the list of headliners taking the stage Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2 on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

He is joining Philly's own Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj – Mill's former girlfriend, Post Malone, Diplo, Janelle Monáe, Fat Joe, 6lack, Miguel, and many more.

Lamar has 12 Grammy awards under his belt, including Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video.

Made In America was nearly nixed from the Ben Franklin Parkway, but officials with the city and Roc Nation, Jay-Z's company that runs the festival, reached an agreement to keep the festival on the Parkway recently.
