Knife-Wielding Man Stabs Store Security Guard In Philadelphia: Police

A man stabbed a security guard at a North Broad Street Save A Lot Wednesday afternoon after he refused to leave the area, police said.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police are asking for help finding the man who stabbed a security guard at a grocery store Wednesday.

Police said the stabbing occurred at about 12:40 p.m. at Save A Lot, 4424 N. Broad Street.

According to police, the victim was working at the store when he was repeatedly asked a man to leave the front of the business.

The man refused to leave, and after several verbal confrontations for him to leave pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, police said.

He then fled north on Broad Street, police said.

The suspect is known to be in the area of the shopping complex at 4424 N. Broad St., according to police.

He is described as a black man, 45 to 55 years old, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a hunter green jacket, green camo pants, a gray hoodie, and tan boots.
