Local Veteran Honored for #StillServing with Local Charity

Pennsburg resident Clyde Hoch's dedication to country and community has earned him recognition in the national Veteran of Foreign Wars #StillServing campaign. The campaign honors veterans who continue to serve in their community after active duty.

A U.S. Marine who served in Iraq, Hoch started Veterans Brotherhood, a charity that helps veterans who are homeless or need financial support to pay for back taxes, car payments, rent, food, clothes, car repairs and anything else necessary to get back on their feet. The organization has taken over a hundred area veterans off the streets. Hoch’s organization also offers mentoring for veterans who need someone to talk to. Another veteran is often the best therapist for a vet who is suffering.

Veterans Brotherhood, Inc. is headquartered in Pennsburg and holds monthly meetings at the Lehigh Valley Active Life Center where veterans and non-veterans are invited to attend.

Hoch said he loves to check back with people has helped and see how their lives have been changed and in some cases, saved.

Hoch’s dedicated service to the military and his community led him to be chosen as one of the few VFW #StillServing Heroes nationwide.
