Man Attacked With Axe In South Philadelphia Saturday: Reports

A 31-year-old man was reportedly struck once in his chest with an axe early Saturday morning in South Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — A man is recovering after being hit in the chest with an axe early Saturday morning in South Philadelphia.

According to NBC10, the attack happened at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Snyder Avenue.

The victim, a 31-year-old man, was struck once on the chest with an axe and was taken to Jefferson Hospital, where he is in stable condition, Fox 29 reports.

Police did find the weapon, but did not make any arrests.
