Man Critical After Sunday Evening Shooting In West Philadelphia

Philadelphia Police said an unidentified man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times Sunday evening in West Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — An unidentified man is in critical condition after being shot Sunday evening in West Philadelphia, police said.

The man, who police are calling a John Doe, was shot at about 5:51 p.m. while reportedly on the highway on the 5700 block of Pine Street.

He was shot six time throughout his upper body, policed said.

Officers took him to Presbyterian Hospital, where he is in critical condition, police said.

Police have not identified a motive, have not found any weapons, and have not made any arrests.
