- A man was shot and killed on Christmas Day at a downtown Sheraton Hotel.
- The Dallas Cowboys left 40 pieces of coal in every Eagles fans' stockings.
- A captain in the Salvation Army dances for his red kettle donations.
But first, today's weather:
Cold with clouds and sun. High: 32 Low: 26.

Here are the top three stories in Philadelphia today:
- The Sheraton on north 17th Street in Center City Philadelphia has a beautiful Christmas display in the lobby to welcome guests staying in town during the holidays. But there was no amount of lights, tinsel and decorations to pause the horrific crime wave in the city as a man was shot and killed in the hotel on Christmas Day. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
- Four turnovers and a crappy 3rd and 30 conversion is what ruined Christmas for Philadelphia Eagle fans. It wasn't that we lost on Christmas Eve. It wasn't that we're now 13-2. It was that we lost 34-40 to the Dallas Cowboys. (Crossing Broad)
- Captain Olguens Fils-Aime grew up with the Salvation Army and now gives back in his own special way — dancing for donations as he rings the red kettle bell at Franklin Mills Mall. Fils-Aime and his wife are both corps officers with the Salvation Army branch in Central Philadelphia/Grays Ferry. When they're not in the office or helping with hands-on charity work, they can be found bell-ringing during the holidays. (6abc Philadelphia)

- Yes, their cannoli is THAT good. Customers brave the brutal cold for Termini Bros. tradition in South Philadelphia. (6abc Philadelphia)
