Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. Is your own front porch not even safe in Philadelphia anymore? Apparently not. On Wednesday evening, a 32-year-old man was standing on his front porch when he was shot and killed. It hapend on the 7300 block of Sylvester Street around 7:30 p.m. Police found two guns and have not made any arrests yet. (6abc Philadelphia)
  2. Only in Philadelphia can you find a huge wall mural titled,"Bird Feed." Check out this mural, painted by artist Meg Saligman at 501 South Street. You can't miss it. It's a huge eagle carrying away a defeated Andy Reid and in it's powerful talons is a scrambling Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.(WPVI-TV)
  3. Sam Oropeza knows how to fight. With a 13-3 record in MMA-style fighting, he mentors and coaches young fighters on Sunday mornings at Front Street Gym and calls them the "Sunday Scrappers." But he's also fighting an uphill battle-without political party support-to win an at-large Council seat in May. (AL DIA News)
