Man Killed In Wednesday Evening Double Shooting: Philadelphia Police

A 21-year-old man died and a 23-year-old man is recovering after a double shooting on the unit block of North 51st Street Wednesday.

PHILADELPHIA — A 21-year-old man died after being shot along with another man Wednesday night, Philadelphia Police said.

The shooting occurred at 6:20 a.m. on the unit block of North 51st Street, police said.

According to police, the 21-year-old man was shot multiple times throughout his body.

He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by police, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:55 p.m.

The second victim, a 23-year-old man, was shot once in the left calf.

He was also taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by police, where he is in stable condition.

No weapons have been recovered, and no arrests have been made.
