Frontier Airlines Employee Kills Coworker In PHL Stabbing: Report

A Frontier Airlines contractor was stabbed by a coworker Thursday morning at Gate E6 in the airport, according to Philadelphia Police.

PHILADELPHIA – A Frontier Airlines contractor died after being stabbed by a coworker Thursday morning in the Philadelphia International Airport, according to news reports.

According to Action News the victim, a 28-year-old man, died after being taken to a local hospital following the stabbing.

The stabbing occurred in a secure area at Gate E6 at about 11:20 a.m., Philadelphia Police said.

The Philadelphia Fire Department said the victim was taken from the airport to a local hospital Thursday morning and is in "unstable condition."

Police said the 35-year-old suspect is in custody.

No passengers were involved in the incident, according to police.

The victim and suspect are working for Frontier as contractors with World Flight Services, according to Frontier.

Fox29 reports the stabbing stemmed from an argument between the two workers.

"The Frontier Airlines family is saddened to learn about this event and our hearts go out to those touched by the tragedy," Frontier said in a statement. "We have reached out to WFS to assist them in any way possible as they deal with this incident."
