Man, Teen Hurt After Robbery Turns To Shootout In Philly: Reports

A 26-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy are in critical condition after opening fire at one another in an apparent robbery attempt Saturday.

PHILADELPHIA — A man targeted for a robbery turned the tables on his assailants by opening fire on them Saturday in Philadelphia.

The incident occurred at about 9 p.m. Saturday on the 1200 block of 41st Street, Action News reports.

Two 16-year-old boys approached the victim, 26, and pulled out guns.

The victim, who police said is a legal gun owner, pulled out his own firearm, which led to a shootout.

The victim and one of the teens were hurt by the gunfire and both were listed in critical condition, Fox 29 reports.

The other teen was not hut, but was taken into custody.
