Man Freed From Philly Police Vehicle After Gun Arrest Caught: Feds
The U.S. Marshals Service said Nafiysh Knox-Schenck, 32, was freed from a Philadelphia Police vehicle after being arrested on Monday.

PHILADELPHIA — A man who was freed from a Philadelphia Police vehicle after being taken into custody on firearm violations was captured Wednesday by federal authorities.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Nafiysh Knox-Schenck, 32, was re-apprehended at about 12:30 p.m. on the 600 block of West Girard Avenue.
According to authorities, Knox-Schenck was taken into custody Monday for firearm violations.

While he was in the police vehicle, someone opened the back door, letting him flee on foot, the Marshals Service said.
At about 7 a.m. Wednesday, investigators from the Marshals Fugitive Task Force conducted surveillance on a condominium complex in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia where they believed Knox-Schneck was hiding.

When investigators knocked and announced their presence on the sixth-floor unit Knox-Schneck was suspected to be in, he immediately surrendered to authorities.
"Our fugitive task force has the most experience in the country apprehending escapees
and the Marshals Service will always support law enforcement agencies who need violent
criminals brought back into custody," Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for
the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force, said.
