SEPTA Getting Mask Vending Machines
Four vending machines offering masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves will be ready for use Tuesday in Philadelphia's Suburban Station.
PHILADELPHIA — With masks mandated in public places and coronavirus cases seeing an apparent increase in Philadelphia, one company is offering masks for transit riders via vending machine.
RapidMask2Go is installing four vending machines in Suburban Station Tuesday, offering SEPTA transit riders in an effort to keep them and others safe.
The machines offer individually wrapped KN95 and 3ply face masks (in various quantities), hand sanitizer, gloves, and personal disinfectant wipes.

All machines offer contactless payment through Apple and Google Pay; they also accept credit cards and cash.
SEPTA riders will the machines at the main Regional Rail platform and at 15th and 16th streets. SEPTA is requiring riders wear masks on all forms of transit.

RapidMask2Go will also be donating 1,000 masks to SEPTA employees.
Suburban Station sees roughly 100,000 passengers passing through each weekday. AthenianRazak holds the master lease for the retail space owned by SEPTA in Suburban Station,
"As people begin to use Septa more and commute into Philadelphia for work, these machines are the perfect addition to Suburban Station," commented Jackie Buhn, Principal and CEO of AthenianRazak. "We are glad to be able to provide such an accessible option to help our fellow citizens stay safe."
RapidMask2Go hopes to add more machines to other SEPTA facilities after seeing how the four machines in Suburban Station are received by riders, according to the company.
