Masked Man Who Terrorized Woman May Have Fled The State: Philly Police

The man chased and threatened the victim while wearing a 'white baby doll style Halloween mask,' authorities said.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police have identified a man accused of wearing a horror-style mask and chasing a woman in Center City.

Last week, a person in a "white baby doll style Halloween mask" threatened a woman and chased her near City Hall, police said.

Police say the suspect, who was then-unidentified, made threatening comments while holding his hand behind his back.

The suspect has been identified as Zymire Hughes, police said Thursday.

An arrest warrant is active, but the 22-year-old may have fled Pennsylvania, police said. He has ties to California and Nevada.

Authorities have not said whether the suspect has terrorized anyone else, and it's unclear what charges Hughes faces. Philadelphia Police didn't immediately respond to Patch's questions.

District Attorney Larry Krasner plans to announce new developments in the case later Thursday afternoon.
