Here are the top three stories in Philadelphia today:
- Three masked men entered an auto garage in Kensington and opened fired, killing one man and injuring four others. Just after 10:30 pm on Tuesday evening, neighbors along the 3400 block of Rorer Street, right across the street from McVeigh Playground, heard over 50 gun shots. - How does a 5 -year old get a loaded gun? It was a horrible accident as the child accidentally shot himself while playing with his mother's firearm. Police were called to the home on the 3100 block of N. Patton Street just before noon and found the child shot in the leg. The child found the loaded gun in an envelope and was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. (Fox News)
- The Philadelphia Phillies are not the United States Postal Service. They do not work in snow, nor sleet nor rain like our mail carriers. They've canceled their 2023 Opening Day Game today and postponed it until Friday at 3:05 p.m. "After consultation with Major League Baseball and the uncertain forecast tomorrow between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m., we have elected to move our home opener with the Reds to Friday," said Phillies Executive Vice President David Buck. All gates will open at 12:35 p.m. The 2022 National League Champions Pennant will be given away to all fans. (mlb.com)
