Apartment Building Fire In Frankford Under Control
Dozens of residents at the apartment building that went up in flames at about 5:30 a.m. Friday have been displaced, according to a report.

PHILADELPHIA — A large apartment building fire in the Frankford section of Philadelphia is under control, officials said.
Officials at about 8:50 a.m. said the fire at a four-story apartment building on the 1200 block of Adams Avenue was under control after it began at about 5:30 a.m.
Office of Emergency Management emergency response staff remains is still on scene for unmet needs and interagency coordination with partners, officials said.

The fire started at about 5:30 a.m., then was raised to two, three, then four alarms in an hour's time, officials said.
Residents in the area are being told to stay inside and keep their doors and windows closed due to the massive smoke plume.
NBC10 reports the fire appeared to spread to nearby buildings.
According to Action News, vehicles at a nearby auto repair shop were also caught in the fire, and explosions were reportedly heard in the area.
Thirty to 40 residents of the building have been displaced, Fox 29 reports.
So far, no injuries have been reported, officials said.
