Murder, More Charges Filed Against Husband In Wife's Death: Reports
Vladimir Lushevskiy is accused of killing his wife, Lola Karabaeva, then putting her body in plastic in a closet in Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia man had charges upgraded to include homicide after his wife was found dead, wrapped in plastic, in a closet in Philadelphia.
According to Action News, Vladimir Lushevskiy, 65, had charges of homicide, strangulation, and tampering with evidence added to his docket.
Lushevskiy was only initially charged with abuse of a corpse, Philadelphia Police said.

The charges came after the body of his wife, 61-year-old Lola Karabaeva, was found in a closet in a residence on the 9000 block of Diplomat Place in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday, Oct. 16.
NBC10 reports Lushevskiy was taken into custody while leaving a motel room in Westhampton Township, Burlington County.

He is awaiting extradition to Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, officers the morning of Sunday, Oct. 13 were told Lola Karabaeva was missing, and witnesses said they last spoke to her at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.
Detectives on Oct. 16 went back to the 9000 block of Diplomat Place to further investigate her disappearance.
While searching a property that morning, they found her body inside a closet wrapped in plastic.
She was pronounced dead at 10:13 a.m., but her cause of death has yet to be released.
